Welcome kids!

Give live to the place, you can bring your parents, too :-) We will take care of them. By joining workshops, playing, but also tasks such as cooking, building compost toilets they will learn to live in community and take responsibility for your heritage.

At the Ecotopia site we will create your own space, build a big yurt, and every morning, we will decide what we will do over the day. Playing, building (perhaps a big water slide), theatre, art, music, baking pizza, and so on. But you will surely have a lot more and better ideas! Since we will come from all over the world, we will not be bored. I am looking forward to hearing, how you live and play where you come from.

We decide ourselves how to shape our camp and spend our time

There will be a self-organised-intercultural children´s camp with children from our region together with camp participants from other regions. By working together we will get to know each other and the whole camp.

How are we going to communicate? What about the wishes of the individuals and of the group?

With the help of play, art, theater, building toys and playful excursions into nature, ecology and the cultures of the different countries we will inspire the children to ask questions and find answers.

Just like the grown-ups, the children will start the day with a morning circle, where we will talk about the range of offers for the day, and also the jobs to do, for example help in the kitchen.

The children can learn how to listen to each other, to express their wishes and to make group decisions. Everybody is responsible for the programme, troubleshooting and daily tasks. Children and grown-ups, local people and people from other countries, all of them have the same rights and responsibility for life in the camp.

Parents, but also youth and elders, can and should join the kid´s camp actively. We wish that every day there will be three or four people from the camp to spend the day with the children. If there are more than 30 kids, even more.

To support this idea there is a competent group of people from the organisation-team – the children´s team.

We will especially give our time into the first week of the camp – we create a space to get to know each other and enable a self-organized children´s camp.

Of course we will be responsive over the whole three weeks, attend, give inspiration and help in practical and human matters...

Dear parents: when registering for Ecotopia, please tell us how many children you wish to apply for the camp, in favour of a more definite planning (for example in catering).

If you want, you can give us their names, age and gender – that also supports our preparations. Thanks!
